Hi-Tea Catering in Islamabad: Packages from Rs. 900 Per Head

27 August 2026

Hi-tea is the most underrated event in this city. It's cheaper than a dinner, calmer than a lunch, and it fits the afternoons where most of life actually happens — the office training that ends at four, the baby shower, the dholki, the book launch, the "come over on Sunday" that turned into forty people.

We cater a lot of them, so here is the honest version: what a good hi-tea needs, exactly what's inside our two packages, what it costs for a real guest list, and how to build your own if neither package is quite right.

What a good hi-tea actually needs

People overcomplicate it. After enough afternoons setting up tea tables across Islamabad, the pattern is clear — a hi-tea works when it has five things:

  • Something savoury and hot. A samosa or shashlik stick fresh enough to steam when bitten. This is the item guests remember.
  • Something you can eat with one hand. Sandwiches, patties, mini pizzas — because half the room is standing and holding a cup.
  • Something sweet, but small. One-bite pastries beat a giant slab of cake. Guests take three of something small; they leave half of something big.
  • Tea done properly. Hot, plenty of it, refilled without asking. Coffee for the ones who ask. Nothing sinks a hi-tea faster than lukewarm chai at 5 pm.
  • Enough of everything. The whole point is generosity. A hi-tea that runs out of samosas by the second round was not a hi-tea.

Our two packages, item by item

Classic Hi-Tea — Rs. 900 per head. One-bite chicken samosas, chicken sandwiches, one-bite pastries, mixed biscuits, shashlik sticks, tea and coffee, and mineral water. Seven items. It covers all five needs above and it's the package most offices and family gatherings pick.

Deluxe Hi-Tea — Rs. 999 per head. Everything in Classic, plus cake and mini pizza — nine items. For Rs. 99 more per head you get the two things guests ask for by name. This is the one we suggest for bridal showers, birthdays and anything with a photographer.

Both are on the event menu page with every item listed, so nobody has to take our word for what's on the table.

The math for a real guest list

  • 20 guests: Classic Rs. 18,000 · Deluxe Rs. 19,980
  • 35 guests: Classic Rs. 31,500 · Deluxe Rs. 34,965
  • 50 guests: Classic Rs. 45,000 · Deluxe Rs. 49,950
  • 100 guests: Classic Rs. 90,000 · Deluxe Rs. 99,900

That's the whole bill for the food and tea. Compare it to what a café charges per person for one sandwich and one latte, and hi-tea catering stops looking like a luxury.

Building your own

If a package doesn't fit — a vegetarian crowd, a kids' party, an office that wants fries and nuggets — we build one from our hi-tea snack list: chicken patties, shami kebab, mini vegetable pizza, mini chicken steam, dry pastries, fruit cake, French fries, keema samosa, assorted sandwiches, chicken pakora, chicken lollipop, chana chaat, nuggets, fingers, tempura, cheese rolls and kachori. Pick five or six, tell us the count, and you'll have an itemised per-head price the same day.

Two upgrades make an ordinary hi-tea feel like an occasion: a live stall — gol gappay at Rs. 160 a plate or chana chaat at Rs. 180 — and a proper Kashmiri chai or kehwa alongside the regular tea. Both are on the event menu.

Where hi-teas happen

Offices. Training sessions, quarterly reviews, farewells, a client visit that lands at 4 pm. A hi-tea keeps the room in the room. For bigger office functions, our corporate menus start at Rs. 1,600 per head.

Homes. Baby showers, bridal showers, dholkis, mayun, milad, book clubs — anything where the food has to be lovely but nobody wants a full dawat. We serve across Islamabad and Rawalpindi; for 20 to 60 guests our dawat guide covers the dinner version.

Institutions. Seminars, convocations, parent evenings — where the count is large and the timing is fixed.

Questions people ask about hi-tea

What's the minimum number of guests? The packages are priced per head and make sense from around twenty guests; for smaller groups, message us and we'll suggest a sensible order from the snack list.

What time do you set up? Hi-tea usually runs 4 to 6 pm; we arrive ahead of your start time so the hot items are still hot when the first cup is poured.

Do you bring the crockery and tea service? Ask when you book — setups range from drop-off in serving trays to a full tea table with staff, and we'll quote whichever your venue needs.

Can we add a cake for a birthday or shower? Yes — the Deluxe package includes cake, and custom cakes can be arranged with the order.

Is delivery included? On our regular Islamabad and Rawalpindi routes, yes. No hidden line items — the same rule as everything else we publish.

The short version

Rs. 900 per head buys a complete, generous hi-tea. Rs. 999 adds cake and mini pizza. Everything else — stalls, kehwa, custom snack lists, corporate versions — is priced openly at feastpilaf.com/event-menu. Tell us the date and the count on WhatsApp at 0315 9093990, and the tea will be hot.
